Charlie Xavier and Alaska illegally took possession of a parking space and storage unit. They occupied the storage unit unlawfully after breaking the lock and installing a new one.
According to police information, they had installed a refrigerator to keep food fresh and had made a makeshift and illegal electrical connection, as they had been living in the property without electricity or water for months. They frequently visited the storage unit several times a day to retrieve supplies.
To prevent the property owner from reporting the crimes of illegal occupation of the parking space, storage unit, and theft of electricity to the police, Charlie Xavier assaulted her with an attempt to suffocate her, causing numerous injuries and bruises.
